Directed by Gene Fowler Jr. and written by Herman Cohen, this is the movie that started the "Teenage Monster" craze of the 50's and the first film for Michael Landon as the main star of the film, his very first film was an uncredited pool hall player in 1956's "These Wilder Years". This film was one of the most successful releases by American International Pictures (AIP). Tony, a troubled teen at a nearby high school is known for losing his temper and overreacting, he then undergoes "hypnotherapy" under Dr. Alfred Brandon (Whit Bissell) who turns him into a werewolf.
